Fall is a beautiful time! The weather gets cooler, the food and drink are delicious (YASSS to pumpkin spice lattes!), and the leaves change into brilliant reds, oranges, and yellows. It truly is a magnificent season. We can learn a lesson from autumn and the falling leaves.
“The trees are about to show us how lovely it is to let things go.”
Many times we hold to things..physical stuff, emotional baggage, pain and even hurt. This season I challenge you to do as the leaves do: Let.It.Go
Imagine how at peace you can be if you let go of the things that weigh you down, make you frustrated, or remind you of past hurt.
Jesus said “Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly” Matthew 11:28-29
What are you holding onto that can be placed at the feet of Jesus? Who is missing out on your smile, your joy, your peace because of unforgiveness in your heart? Where do you need God to give you the courage to let something go?
Enjoy your letting go season! Happy Fall!
